Dr. Allen was born in Anaheim, California but was raised in Holstein, Iowa. He grew up being very active in athletics, spending time outdoors and playing golf. He was fortunate to find out what Chiropractic can do at a young age.
Dr. Allen attended the University of South Dakota, receiving a Bachelor’s of Science Degree and was also a member of the Men’s Golf Team. It was there he also met his wife, Angie. To further his education, Dr. Allen chose Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2010. Since then, he’s had the honor of serving patients in the Greater Des Moines area. Outside of the office, Dr. Allen is a member of various organizations that raise money for area youth.
Dr. Allen and his wife live in Waukee with their 2 boys, Simon & Hank. In their free time they enjoy being outdoors, either on the golf course or at the lake, and spending time together as a family.
Dr. Allen has extensive training in modern acupuncture and several chiropractic techniques including Gonstead, diversified, extremity care, prone, activator, SOT, and Webster’s technique. He had the privilege to train with Dr. Richard Yennie, a pioneer of Chiropractic, Acupuncture, and modern chiropractic techniques, and with staff domestically and internationally. Dr. Allen has also been a guest speaker at local and national chiropractic seminars. He is a member of the Iowa Chiropractic Society and the Acupuncture Society of America.
